Our wedding will be located in a neighborhood of Brooklyn called "Dumbo" (short for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass). We have spent many an afternoon in Dumbo, walking around and exploring the charming cobblestone streets, excellent restaurants, shops and boutiques, art galleries, Brooklyn Bridge Park, and taking in unbeatable views of the Manhattan skyline. Formerly a metal factory, 26Bridge is a new event space that we fell in love with because of its vast airy ceilings, steel beams, and exposed brick walls.

CHILDREN

In order to allow all guests (including parents) an evening of relaxation, we have decided to make our wedding an adult only occasion. We hope you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the evening off! (However, we would love to see them at the Friday welcome party—if it's not past their bedtime—or at brunch on Sunday.)

If you need child care in the city, we've heard good things about Barnard Babysitting Agency and Care.com from our friends with kids. Babysitting services may also be arranged directly through the hotels.

TRANSPORTATION

We will be providing a guest shuttle on the big day from The Beekman Hotel in Manhattan to our wedding venue in Brooklyn. The shuttle will leave from 5 Beekman Street (the side entrance of The Beekman Hotel, though the bar room) at 5:15pm on Saturday, June 10.  Immediately following the wedding, shuttles will be available to take guests to the karaoke after-party or back to The Beekman.

To reserve your seats on the shuttle, please fill out this form:

For the rest of the weekend, we recommend using a car service like Juno, Lyft, or Uber.
Otherwise the hotel can hail you a taxi. And of course, there is always the NYC subway system.

PARKING

There is limited street parking in the neighborhood, so we will be providing valet parking service at our venue on the day of our wedding.

We kindly advise you that our wedding will be recorded and photographed for inclusion in Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine(!) and you may be pictured in their photographs. Please let us if know you would not like to be pictured in the magazine.  Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine would appreciate your kindly limiting your social media postings of the details of the wedding.
